Mark French

Mark French has 25 years’ experience in criminal defence, and heads the Criminal Defence team. He is a supervising solicitor, with rights of audience as a higher court advocate at the Crown Court. He regularly attends the Magistrates’ Court police station interviews to represent his clients.

He has an extensive data base of specialists who prepare medical/analytical/forensic reports to assist clients as well as being able to call on the best barristers to represent clients in court.

Mark has been involved in very many complex cases and specialises in criminal litigation at its highest level. Over the years Mark has represented clients involved in a number of high profile and high value cases, including those prosecuted by the  Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and the National Crime Agency (NCA).

Mark has defended clients facing the most serious of allegations including murder, sexual offences and international crime gangs in volved in drug conspiracies and money laundering. He has also defended high profile media clients in cases attracting press and media attention.   

He has extensive experience in financial crime across international jurisdictions, including cases involving allegations of bribery and corruption. He has dealt with extradition cases involving Interpol, fraud, market abuse, and related civil proceedings.

Mark is able to assist clients facing proceeds of crime applications, Account Freezing and Forfeiture Orders, Confiscation Orders, Restraint Orders and Unexplained Wealth Orders.
